Roster architect
Opened Suite 5 after years of caddieing naval outings around Hampton Roads. Merritt’s vice is the cut list. If a club cannot say what job it does when the river is up, Merritt will not let it keep a berth out of nostalgia.
Grew up in Freemason. Still walks Lambert’s Point on Monday mornings with a bag that has never carried a 3-iron since 2012.
Wind clerk
Ocean View kid. Reads the Elizabeth the way other people read a forecast app. Celia runs the fan, paints the corridor, and decides whether a 7-wood is a harbor tool or a carnival balloon.
Keeps the chalkboard. If the gust is a rumor, she will not sell a Wind Addendum. If the gust is real, she will not let you skip it.
Slot steward
Former bag-room steward from a downtown club that no longer exists. Dorian slides the brass tags, writes the paper tickets, and is the person who will take the spare putter out of your hands without a speech.
